Internship; An opportunity to see community fundraising events through from start to finish allowing you to have concrete achievements to add to your CV at the end of your placement. Application closing date Jan 23rd. Interviews from Monday January 30th with an immediate start date. We are looking for you to join our Fundraising & Partnership team at Body & Soul. Established in 1996. Body & Soul is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children, young people and families in the UK who are affected by HIV, through supporting their psycho-social and educational health and well-being. Delivered via weekly support sessions, it’s a vital lifeline for an isolated and often forgotten group of people who are struggling to live with the direct and indirect effects of the virus. We are currently looking for an individual with the initiative and drive to take Body & Soul’s community fundraising to the next level through increasing donations from challenge events, individual givers, payroll and legacy. This role is an excellent introduction to community fundraising and under supervision, you will be responsible for: • internet-based research into donors • advancing community events and corporate relationships • sourcing gifts in kind We are looking for an intern who is: • Committed and enthusiastic • Genuine & passionate about Body & Soul's aims • Articulate, with a strong attention to detail • Versatile when communicating with people on all levels, from potential funders, to members of the charity. • A self starter who is willing to take on responsibility in this innovative charity Body & Soul internships are dynamic and exciting, providing the opportunity to become involved in areas of the charity which would normally require greater experience. We also run weekly Internship Master classes that give you the opportunity to gain a deeper insight into the workings of the third sector. We ask interns to commit to coming in for a minimum of three days per week for three months. This gives you the opportunity to see community fundraising events through from start to finish and ensures you have concrete achievements to add to your CV at the end of your placement.
