Graduated Name
Having worked for over 10 years in a number of sectors of the events industry, I was keen to expand my career horizons and saw a professional qualification as a good way of helping me to achieve my aims. After looking at numerous courses, I settled with Terbell based on the calibre of the lecturing staff and the smaller class sizes than many competing offerings. Having spoken to Jo, her passion for the industry and the course was also immediately apparent. Throughout the course the teaching materials were relevant and delivered in a competent and interactive manner. The staff were also extremely helpful in answering our questions and providing guidance and advice. Coming from a point of some industry knowledge, this course more than exceeded my expectations and has opened my horizons to new and innovative working practices and techniques. I would happily recommend the course to anyone looking to establish or further a career in the events industry.

I did not know what to expect from the course but from the first class I knew that I have made the right decision when I registered for it. I was very impressed with the background and work experience of the tutors. The Information was presented with real world site experience! I really enjoyed the course and the broad range of interesting subjects we covered. It has been a challenging but very rewarding time particularly the last assignment of the course, where you have to put into practice all the knowledge that that you received during the course . It's opened my mind up to a whole new area of possibilities and now exhibitions and conferences are a definite area of interest that I’d like to pursue. I highly recommend the course if you are searching for a short course where you will receive good, genuine information. It is a good course for those both with and without event industry experience. The Course was efficient and exceeded my expectations and for that I thank Jo and the rest of the Terbell team.

I investigated many Event Management Courses and Terbell Event Management stood out from all of the others as their previous students appeared to be happy and didn't find the course boring. I was ever so scared as to whether I would be able to cope with working full time and completing a course as it seemed like such a long time. Day one of the course was very daunting and nerve racking but there was nothing to worry about. There were so many friendly people, different cultures, ages and levels of knowledge - this was an experience in itself. Sadly, as soon as you get to know everyone, the course is over in a flutter of an eyelid. The course was very interesting (even the subjects that are considered to be boring). All of the lecturers were taught in a different style which was very helpful as you got a different insight into events at every lesson. The lecturers were very supportive and willing to help when you really didn't understand the topic. For the project, I worked with an amazing group who I also learnt a lot from. Everyone in the class was very keen to learn and offer their help when you were stuck on something which encourages you to work harder and put your all into it. When the journey came to the end it was very disappointing as you want your event to come to life and experience what you have pulled together. This is a challenging and time consuming course but I fully recommend it to anyone no matter what your experience in the event world as you will learn an incredible amount and gain that little bit extra. However, you need to be willing to give up a few weekends / evenings, but it is worth it once you complete the course. I learnt an incredible amount on this particular course and would like to thank Terbell for opening up more opportunities for me.

I attended Terbell Event Management course as I wanted to pursue a career within the Events Industry. With little to no experience in Events this was quite a daunting prospect. However, the apprehension I felt prior to starting the course was all forgotten the moment I walked into class on day 1. I was surrounded by different cultures, different ages and a wide variety of different knowledge and experiences that throughout the 14 weeks became a valuable source of comfort. The lectures were a great insight into the diverse world of Events and really helped to shape my understanding of the key aspects required to manage and hold a successful event. The diploma has opened a pool of opportunities and contacts for me helping me to enter the industry. This was a challenging 14 week course but it has given me great friends, a new confidence and optimistically, a new career.

I really enjoyed the Terbell Event Managing Course this Autumn. It broadened my knowledge of event managing and has widened my knowledge in career options in the event industry. I was lucky enough to gain two valuable work experiences during the course, one at WorldSkills London as Catering and Logistics Manager, and Assistant Event Manager at Hastings Ice Rink. These two experiences have already improved my CV and given me contacts in London and further afield which will hopefully prove to be a benefit in the future. I found course content interesting both in consolidating my existing knowledge, as well as equipping me with completing new tools and methods of approaching event management and client liaison. I found the tutors inspirational overall and the content inspiring, potentially (but realise the time restrictions) it would be good to have some more practical methods of teaching and site visits built into the course. I made some great contacts through the course, both tutors and other students, some of which have proven to be great contacts already. It was inspiring to be surrounded my people that were enthusiastic about event managing and from a diverse range of fields. Perhaps the division between experienced and non-experienced students could have been managed better. It became difficult with such a wide difference in knowledge and aspiration when doing the group project. I would definitely recommend the course to future students both in content, experience and contacts established. I wanted to gain more knowledge in event managing in corporate and other sectors outside of the arts and gain contacts further afield. I feel the course introduced me to a range of areas in event management and has given me the tools and confidence to broaden my career options.

I attended the course because I was looking for a change in career. I am due to be made redundant. I learnt a great deal about event management on the course. I was very impressed with the teaching with its blend of theory and drawing from actual experiences from work in the industry. While on the course, I helped to organise my company’s summer party, attended by 650 guests. The course offered me some great tips on helping to make the party a great success. I also enjoyed meeting the other students. who came from all over the world and from different industries. I found them very friendly. I am glad that I attended the course. I feel that with the Diploma, opportunities to enter the Event Industry will be greatly increased. I fully recommend attending the course; it gives you a great insight into working in the Event industry.

I emigrated from Holland to the UK two years ago with a background in media and communication. Looking to kick start my career I enrolled on the Terbell Event Management Training Diploma, hoping to attain a higher level of professional English in subjects relevant to my interests and aspirations. With only some brief, positive experience as an event assistant, I realised that even if my future wouldn't lay in events the course was going to be valuable as I would develop new skills relevant to many industries. It also would be a great way of getting to know new people who shared my interests. During the course -which covered subjects such as presentation skills, marketing, budgeting and PR, I worked as part of a project group, received coaching by experienced event industry practitioners and built a substantial network of contacts. Apart from evening classes our project group came together outside of the class room to work on a project to develop a concept for a family festival. This project allowed us to put the learnt theory into practice. Whenever we required help or advice, our teachers were there to help. The course gave me the impetus I needed to apply for roles for which a certain level of business English was required. I am convinced that without the course I wouldn't have applied for my current job as a Bilingual Customer Service Representative as I confidently managed to give a presentation which the company informed me would form a prominent part of the interview. Six months later things are going well for me and have I been put forward for a promotion within a rapidly growing and exciting business that offers daily deals, group events, holidays and more. I believe that regardless of your background or experience Terbell Event Management Training Diploma offers an invaluable spring board to opportunities both within the events industry and elsewhere.

I really enjoyed the diploma from beginning to end. It offers a wide variety of subjects and extremely talented lecturers who will make you love the industry. Nothing better than to be taught by passionate people. I now feel more confident about my creative side, definitely skilled for the event industry and I also met a bunch of amazing people who I hope to keep in touch with. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to make it in this industry. Thanks Terbell for an amazing experience!'

I am already in a small scale events role so wanted to learn about the Events industry as a whole and demonstrate to future employers my passion for Events. I didn’t imagine the new areas would change my focus from the more bespoke/cooperate events I already like and enjoy arranging- but it did! It's opened my mind up to a whole new area of possibilities and now exhibitions and conferences are a definite area of interest to pursue. The subjects are very varied but all somehow link up, and the various Course presenters were all so passionate, helpful and engaging and made everything so interesting. I couldn’t believe even budgeting was made fun! Being in groups for the project means you interact a lot with your course mates and the whole feel of the course was very relaxed, enjoyable and informative and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone wishing to learn more about, or further their career within, events.

I chose the Terbell Event Management course after reading other students reviews. I enjoyed every minute of the course. The lectures were great fun and were given by professionals working in the industry. I learnt a lot about organising events and this course gave me confidence in my career in the event industry. Managing events is not only fun but a lot of planning and hard work. The course helps you to learn how to organise not just an event but a successful event. I would highly recommend this course to people working in events or somebody who is new to the industry. I look forward to our Graduation Dinner.

The Part Time Diploma in Event Management was exactly what I was looking for: an intensive course with a good and comprehensive overview of the Event industry. I found the course format very appropriate. The lecturers were all very professional, experienced and not at all concerned at sharing top tips about their business. The group project that we developed during the course was an excellent exercise. We were a group of four with completely different cultures and backgrounds. We worked hard, researched, brain stormed, came up with the creative and finally, we produced a very successful and rewarding project! I highly recommend the course if you are searching for a short course where you will receive good, genuine information. It is a good course for those both with and without event industry experience. Best of luck.

I have just finished the events course with Terbell. I have found it very interesting, learning new skills each lesson. I had studied events for one year at university but found that you were not learning much on how to run and set up events. On this course, it is all about how you can do this which I found great and exciting. At university the lecturers were good but had last worked in the industry 10 years ago if not longer. This meant ideas and stories where old and dated. Not on this course. We were given the latest up to date information and ideas that the industry has to offer by our lecturers. Learning about the different sectors in events opened my eyes to careers I had never thought of before such as Public Relations, exhibitions and sponsorship. These subjects I found fascinating and again hearing what it is like to work in these sectors by people still working in the roles was great. While doing the course I got myself involved in a local summer community event which has over the last two years had more than 900 people turn up. I put what I was being taught into practise. Due to circumstances, I am now running this event on my own and managing a team of volunteers. Everything that I now do with the event I learnt whilst on the course. When asked to do a risk assessment for the area I just went back to my notes and I am now able to complete the tasks. So for this, I am very grateful to Terbell and the lecturers. I would recommend the course to anybody who wants to find out more about events or work in the industry it has helped me out a lot.

Learning more about the exciting world of events has always been a great desire of mine. The question was, where do I start?? After joining the Terbell Ltd Event Management course in April, I soon realised that this industry covered so much more than just glamorous cocktail parties and face painting! All of a sudden I was exposed to the evaluation of risk factors, consideration of health & safety elements, the intense planning, PR and marketing of a successful event and so much more. Being taught by different industry professionals who specialise in their own fields made lectures fun, interesting and exciting. I could not wait for the beginning of every new week to gain further insight into this creative industry. An added bonus was our wonderful, multi-cultural class of students who all had one thing in common... events! Needless to say this comprehensive three-month course ended all too soon but it was without a doubt a thorough introduction to events and an enjoyable course, which I can strongly recommend.

I enrolled onto the Event Management Course with the hope of learning and getting a qualification in just planning and organising events on a basic level to be used as part of my role as resident Involvement officer. Not only did I learn this, I learnt it on a higher level and much more – including Health and Safety aspect of putting up an event, be it corporate or social. Going on this course was an eye opener for me. I met some top people in the Event industry and had information on ongoing event and there were loads of opportunities to attend and be part of the organising team on some major events. This Course opened my eyes to the hard work that goes into putting up events –big and small. It also made me realise it takes more than one person to put up and manage an event. I must not forget to big up the lecturers on this course. They treated the students as if they knew us before we enrolled on the course – with respect and always available for us either by phone or email any time of the day and out of hours. As a result of attending this course, I am now involved in organising an Annual boroughwide event on a corporate level at work, organising the annual event in my church which is attended by thousands of residents and many more small scaled events. I would recommend this course to anyone with an interest in Event planning and management.

After several months of debating whether to go on the course, I finally managed to get myself enrolled on the Events Management course, and as soon as I was on, I thought to myself 'why had I not done this sooner?' The course was fantastic and really got me thinking deeply about the events industry, so when I now attend festivals or events, I appreciate how much hard work that gets put into it. Events Management course was definitely an excellent choice for me. Thanks to Adam, Jo and all of the lecturers involved.

I am a Brazilian Event Manager. In 2011, I decided to take the opportunity to live in London and study on Terbell’s Event Management Training Course. It was a great experience. I had the chance to understand so many different aspects of the events industry. The tutors are very experienced and provide real life case studies. The assignment given is highly challenging and it made rise to the challenge and do my best. The course was extremely interesting and fun and it definitely helped me to get a very good job, back in Brazil. I would highly recommend it for all of those who have passion for the events world.
Gisele Russano
The course was perfect for gaining a broad understanding of the key ingredients needed to venture into the world of event management. I found I was able to understand how all the elements and roles linked into one another and therefore to decide where I saw myself working within the industry. Building up relationships with classmates was a very valuable experience as was working in teams with like-minded individuals and networking. Since leaving the course I have worked in Event Production, Music video production and Marketing. All are very closely linked once you have the core skills which I developed further by attending this course. Many thanks to the Terbell team.

Having worked as an Event Manager in the Automotive industry for over 10 years I felt it was time I had a qualification to back up my experience so I did some research on Google and found Terbell! With a full time job I was apprehensive about fitting it all in but the lectures were interesting and informative and working/meeting with likeminded people was a great experience and most of us still keep in contact. The project we were given to prepare was a challenge to fit in with ‘working’ life but it was great to be involved in many different aspects of the event process that didn’t involve cars and to work as a team! Thanks to Jo and all the lecturers for all your hard work and dedication as I now have a Diploma in Event Management!
Georgie Herlihy
Having gained several years of experience in event and tour management in Italy and continental Europe, I have taken a career break in order to come to London, improve my English and take an Event Management course in order to upgrade my skills and better understand the UK market. I spent a long time researching but from the moment I had the pre-course interview with Jo, I felt that this was the right course for me. Each lecture was different from the others and together they covered all the relevant areas of Event Management. The lectures are held by professionals who share with us their vast knowledge and provide useful and practical tips from their real life experience. We were given a project to be prepared during the course. This was hard work but an extremely interesting and rewarding experience. Organizing an event in all its aspects and also simulating a real pitch with customers was a big challenge that fostered our confidence, our understanding of “real life” situations and our teamwork skills. I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the dedication and effort and support to all the professionals who lectured us and especially to Jo. Months after the end of the course, she keeps updating us with the latest internship and job opportunities and giving us her support for the interviews. Thanks again Jo, the quality of the course and your guidance throughout have really exceeded my expectations and I am really satisfied with my choice! I wish you all the luck for the future! Best wishes,
Ana Romero
If you want to be motivated, develop a wide knowledge and gain a real insight in to the events world then this is the course for you. Although, I already have experience working in events, I gained a detailed understanding and appreciation of how important every aspect of event management is. Also, the significance of all the different job roles that are required in order for an event to be successful. The tutors are ‘in the business’ and not just your normal lecturer that you may find on another course. The advice given is realistic and relevant. I was very grateful for Jo’s encouragement and supportive attitude throughout the course. She gave us lots of opportunities to get involved in valuable volunteering placements. In my case, helping a charity at The London Marathon. I’d like to thank Terbell for a fantastic course and I look forward to my career in event management.

Since I can remember, I have always been the organiser in my group of friends. They tend to rely on me to organise whenever there is a birthday party to prepare or a trip to book. Before taking the Terbell course, I had never imagined that this could be used in my professional life. These days, motivation and vocation are not enough to achieve your goals. Theory, experience and contacts. On the Terbell course you learn from industry experts, gain work experience and learn how and where to make contacts. Forget about boring lectures given by Teachers and be ready to appreciate the vast experience that Jo, Caroline, Chris, Joel and many more will share with you. As important as the tutors are, your course colleagues are also as important. They are diverse yet like-minded, interested in planning and organising so many different kinds of event. ON our course, music, conferences, fashion, charity, arts… were all popular. Working together on the course project gave me the opportunity to increase my knowledge, work as a team and to improve my organisational skills. To be honest, the Terbell event management course was the perfect place to develop my skills in a very enjoyable environment. Thanks to this course, I had the opportunity to be involved in one of the largest events in the world (World Skills exhibition, London 2011). Getting out into the event world is the best way to network and to gain professional contacts who can help to advance my Career.

I am very happy to say that I have completed the Event Course and now have the skills and knowledge to become an Event Manager. In my first week on the course, thanks to the help of Joanna Kerr, I had two interviews with Events Charities and I agreed to work as a volunteer and I am still enjoying working with the charity. I was able to use the skills that I was learning on the course in my volunteer work. The support given by all the Terbell tutors kept me on the right path. Before the course, I didn’t think that I had any real event experience and I was unsure whether I would understand everything or whether the course would be suitable for me. After having an interview with Joanna, I was reassured that the course was designed for those with and without experience. Joanna was also able to make me realise that I had in fact events experience through arranging friends parties or the meetings I arrange at work. I have to say, I agree that the course is designed to take into consideration all students experience and the information given was to everyone's standards. We covered all that was advertised on the internet and more. I have and will continue to recommend this course with Terbell. The tutors support doesn't stop at the end of the course it continues and I am still in touch with Terbell.

Dear Jo I have been wanting to say this after almost every lecture but you have kept us really busy! I find the lectures very interesting, informative and full of industry knowledge. It's been great to just hear you guys, your experience, get the insights and inputs at all levels. And especially you for pulling it all together for us. Thank you for everything

I studied Event Management with Terbell Ltd in 2010. Having not studied in 6 years I was not really sure what to expect. I thought that like most short courses, the EMT course would be fairly easy going - I was wrong! The course is incredibly comprehensive and the assignments given are highly challenging, a tough but very enjoyable 14 weeks I would recommend to anyone who has a real interest in Events. I have not only gained specific industry based knowledge from extremely experienced lecturers but also a great sense of achievement and self confidence.

When I first applied to Terbell for Events Management Diploma Course, I had very little idea what Events management was really about; all I knew was that it involved bringing people together, organising meetings, functions and parties. I learnt through the course that Events Management is a lot broader than that. The course covers core subjects including marketing, PR, sponsorship, finance and many others topics all part of the Events organising process. It is a challenging and rewarding field and I recommend this course to anyone who has an interest in events. It has given me new skills, confidence and a good ground knowlege of Events Management. I enjoyed the course very much. It is both a practical and a theoretical course and prepares you fully for a career in the Events industry. I would like to thank 'Joanna - Course Director' for her encouragement, advice and tips throughout the course. I enjoyed all her lectures they were always interesting, full of passion and enthusiasm. All the lecturers had a very clear way of explaining things. They explained the theory, then gave examples from real life events sharing some of their own experiences with us. Now that I have completed the course, I feel relieved to have found a new developing talent for myself. I knew that I had made the best choice by choosing Terbell as their lecturer's are highly experienced professionals; still working in the industry – meaning we get really up to date information. Also, Terbell are continuously here to support me in finding suitable work placements; their diploma is validated by ICM at Higher Education (NQF4) which shows the quality and standards of their 14weeks course. I am so pleased to have found Terbell. Thank you so much Joanna and Adam

I attended the Terbell Event Management course in September 2010 and straight away I knew that I had made a wise decision. This was Jo’s first semester as the main lecturer and her enthusiasm was infectious. She has a knack of explaining things in such an easy to understand and exciting way. The course was a lot more in depth than I had first anticipated and covered such a broad range of subjects; which has given me a sound basic knowledge of the Events industry as a whole. Jo, along with every other guest lecturer to the course, oozed passion for their field and delivered their lectures in a fun, interactive and interesting way. How anybody can make a Health and Safety lecture so exciting that the we couldn’t wait for part 2 I do not know?!! (Chris Woodford). Completing this course has secured me in the knowledge that the Events industry is most definitely for me. I cannot wait to go out there to put it all into practice. We had great support from all the lecturers throughout and I would thoroughly recommend the course to anybody thinking about a career in events. My only regret is that I would have liked to of met more of the elusive Adam Proto...

I would recommend the Terbell Event Management course to you for so many reasons - the experience, the lecturers, the project, the people you meet on the course etc. In order to decide which was the most professional and suitable course for me, I checked out different Event Managements courses and the Terbell one appeared to be the most complete. My objective in taking the course was to learn how to organize a festival. That was it. However, what I actually learnt was so much more and things that I can apply to every aspect of my daily life. On the first day of the course, I met Joanna Kerr and one of the things that she asked us to do was to write down our expectations of the course. All the way through the course I was amazed at the information the lecturers imparted to us. Their knowledge was gained from their real life experiences. They opened my eyes to one of the most amazing, challenging and surprising industries - the Events Industry. We covered areas such as sponsorship, lighting, marketing, budgeting, exhibition stands... you name it we covered it! All questions were answered, if they did know they are sincere and tell you they don’t know but they find out from one of their colleagues to let you know later. To find so many different, objective lecturers from such diverse areas of the industry and all with one thing in common, an amazing passion for events is wonderful!. There are so many good things that I could tell you about the course but the one thing I will always remember is the phrase: "Everyone makes mistakes, events do go wrong but you will be judged not on the mistake or what went wrong but on how you dealt with it”. Also, the better the planning the better the outcome of any event and the return is the fact that days, months or sometimes years after the event has occurred people are still talking about it. This course provided me with the right tools to organize conferences, exhibitions, festivals or to work in the production, organization or budgeting of any event. I found the course fascinating and If anyone is thinking about doing an Event Management Diploma, I truly recommend it to you. Kind Regards
Javier Solicopa Ricorico
Dear Jo After having been a student at a leading university and specialising in tax, I decided on a complete career change after 7 years and chose to undertake the event management course with Terbell. I was a little dubious at how gaining a diploma could help me and what the teaching methods would be like. After having done the course I can now say that I learnt more in my 3 months at Terbell than I did on my whole 3 year degree. The main reason for this was because we were not being taught by people who had specialised in learning the subject, we were taught by people who had years and years of hands on experience and knowledge about their particular area of expertise, from festivals to organising conferences to health and safety. The tutors are clearly passionate about what they do and this comes through in each lesson. Not only do they teach you but they talk to you about specific real life experiences they have had dealing with situations relating to what you are learning about at the time. Each of the tutors was more than willing to talk to us one on one and made a point of including us into their social networking sites so that we can continue to communicate with them and seek their advice. Our course co-ordinator Joanna Kerr is without a doubt one of the loveliest ladies you will meet and a couple of months after completing the course I am still receiving regular e-mails from her keeping me updated on the industry and areas in which to find work.

Dear Jo Volunteering at World Skills was absolutely fantastic... what an experience. It was the biggest event to be hosted in the Excel, I was involved in the digital media, so really gave me a good insight into the marketing that goes on while an event is actually taking place! Last week, I was at the business start up show... with former dragon from Dragon's Den Rachel Elnaugh. I was involved from start to finish, she's launch a new t.v channel so I was involved in the filming, managed the setting up of the stand (which we turned into this boudoir, satin sheets, funky lighting etc) and managing the stand itself because Rachel was off giving speeches. So I can definitely say that was an experience and a half. So in this year since the course I have now volunteered at 5 different places whilst holding onto a full time job - still not got the position of my dreams yet... but I can say that being involved and just going out there and participating has opened my eyes to what I really enjoy, which is the marketing aspect of the event. I still really enjoy the event day itself but it's the marketing aspect that is tickling my taste buds! So hopefully, given a little bit more time and it'll click. Again Jo, as a tutor you rock - and even though the course has finished a whole year ago, for you to still be sending e-mails through is absolutely amazing. Thank you very much, I can honestly say it is very much appreciated!

I thoroughly enjoyed the events management course. It was a great opportunity to learn about the whole spectrum of events management. The course was extremely interesting and fun. I also made some very good friends on the course. The lecturers all came from varied backgrounds so it was good to get their different views on events management. You meet lots of different people on this course and you benefit from so many opportunities and leads to get into the events management world. I would like to especially thank Joanna Kerr for this course as she is extremely hands on and will help you if ever you require help. She makes the lectures fun, upbeat and interesting. She works extremely hard on the course and also helps students after the course has ended. Thank you! Kind regards

At the time I joined this course I was unhappy with my career and looking for something new. I have always been interested in event management and had worked in the event industry on a few projects and done an internship but kept being stuck in the tourism industry. Terbell’s part-time Event Management course provided me with the right challenge at that time and gave me confidence to further my career in event management. I really enjoyed the course and the broad range of interesting subjects we covered. It has been a challenging but very rewarding time. I would like to thank all the lecturers for their support, especially Caroline and Jo. I think that this course is extremely valuable and provides a realistic outlook of the event business through presentations, projects and great lecturers from different backgrounds. I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in event management and looking for a great experience.

A big thank you to Jo, Chris and Caroline and all the lecturers who have shared their knowledge of the Event Industry with us. I have thoroughly enjoyed the course and now it is finished I am missing the buzz of the project and my team! I have learnt a lot and I am looking at the future with great confidence.

Dear Jo Many thanks for putting together such an enjoyable and educational course. As you know, I work as an events organiser, and the content of the course has helped immensely in my day to day work. Every module was unique, insightful, and above all, presented in a way which was easy to follow, interactive, and fun! I've already used many of the 'tricks of the trade' offered since starting the course, and feel I'm able to get so much more from my work. Please pass on my thanks to a great team.
Best wishes

"I thoroughly enjoyed my part time diploma course in Event Management with Terbell and would highly recommend it. I feel I've got a good grounding and understanding in the basics for event management theory for different kinds of events.
The work experience during the course and the practical project and presentation we had to complete was invaluable as it was great to be able to put some of what I'd learnt into practice. I really enjoyed meeting like minded people and the support from our tutors was great - thank you very much Terbell!"

I learnt so much about the events industry and every element of event management on the part time course and had a great experience. I came to the course with no events experience and left feeling confident that I could take on future projects in the events industry. Joanna and her team of tutors have a great teaching style and are professional and supportive at all times, actively working in the events industry themselves so you receive up to date information and guidance.
Lectures were always fun and educational and the topics covered were comprehensive providing an in depth understanding. The quality of all teaching material was excellent, well explained with Joanna and her team always on hand to answer any queries and provide professional input. The assignment of a project was a great way to learn dealing with all elements that are required as you and your team work towards presenting a professional pitch for an event concept.
This is a must attend course for anyone serious about getting into the world of event management, Terbell event management training are a professional company, highly regarded and well established in the events industry. Highly recommended and well worth the investment.
Facilities: Always a designated class room with AV equipment for power point. Comfy and warm and a Costa on site so good for coffee lovers!
Student life: It's a great experience working through a project in a team, you learn a lot from others and I know it sound cliché but team working too.

On my first day I very quickly realised how lucky I’d been in selecting the right Event Management course. It was very apparent that Adam Proto along with Jo and Caroline were the very best in the industry and I immediately new I was going to learn a lot from these people.
I’ll admit I was never the cleverest person at school (and to be honest this was the first proper course/test/exam I had ever undertaken!) but Adam and Jo were always there to reassure me that the majority of the course was practical common scense. Yes there were parts I needed to look at more than once, but at no point did I feel that it wasn’t achievable.
I live in Derby, so I had to drive to London several times a week to do the course, a lot of people thought I was mad!! However I used to get very excited about going down to learn about subjects that were so very interesting to me and that I feel extremely passionate about.
I already work in events but I’m self taught, so to be able to learn how the professionals did things was extremely rewarding for me. Every lecture was educational and put forward in an exciting and very easy to remember format.
I met so many fantastic people on the course, not only the teachers but the students, most of which I still keep in contact with…
I went on to complete the course and gain a Pass with Distinction, (verrrrry Happpppy Jimmy!!!!) I now have a lot of opportunity to further my career in events on a professional level, and I so can’t wait to get cracking!
I simply can’t recommend this course enough and this may sound a little wet! But this course has actually changed my life…. And for that reason I am eternally grateful to Terbell.

"I recently completed the Terbell, Event Management course (June 2010). I thoroughly enjoyed the course and was very impressed with the level of detail, information and the broad range of subjects that we covered in 15 weeks. It's given me a brilliant insight into the events industry and the knowledge and skills that will enable me to tackle any situation that arises and that throughout my career Terbell are there to guide and support me, which fills me with confidence to take those next steps in my career.
The course has confirmed my decision that events is the career path for me and I now want to experience new challenges within the events world. I'd like to thank all the lectures for their time and sharing their expertise.
I also had the opportunity to work on "Kidz Stuff" a live festival which was a fantastic experience filled with fun, plus I made some great new friends due to this opportunity and looking forward doing it next year 2011."

"Terbell's Event Management Course was not only incredibly interesting, the Lecturer's also made learning about Events fun and fascinating. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do when I came back from travelling and I went into this course with a very open mind, but now I've graduated, I know exactly where I want to pursue my career...Events!!
If you fancy getting into the fantastic Industry, get qualified through Terbell; they're all very successful in the Events World and they know exactly what they're talking about. They don't just provide the facts and figures; they provide real life experiences and real advice. I have learnt so much and having this Diploma will stand me in great stead. I would definitely recommend this course and if you're looking to get into any part of the Events Industry, become qualified through Terbell."

"I moved to London just 9 months ago and the idea of attending an evening course in another language scared me a lot. However, I then decided that it would be a good challenge and a great experience. Event management was the course that interested me and after a long internet search I found Terbell’s Event Management Training course which I thought looked the best.
London is the right capital for event management training. There are many career opportunities for a good, hard work but fun job. The course encouraged creativity, communication and gave the chance to work as a team to produce a pitch presentation. I very much enjoyed the Terbell course. I learnt a lot and it proved a great experience. It helped me to integrate with local people and to have more confidence with the language. The lecturers were great and made the lessons interesting, dynamic and even fun! (despite the late time)
I would recommend that you enroll because attending the event management course was the best experience that I have lived in my two years in London and now with this degree I will start to have a great job!
Best of luck with your Event Management Course!"

"Adam Proto is a highly skilled and knowledgeable teacher. I found his lectures very interesting and relevant to my previous experience.
I am lucky enough to have worked with Adam on a number of projects in the industry. He is to this day, the most proficient Producer/Director I have worked alongside over a 4 year period in the Events business."

Dear Adam
I haven't ever formally thanked you for all the effort and energy that went into our course, you're a fantastic lecturer and as a result I'm a much better and more confident event manager at work.
Please keep in touch and keep up the good work.

Hi Adam,
I wanted to express how happy I was with the training you provided and think you're a great mentor for an industry you're clearly very passionate about.
Your lectures are fun and engaging which makes learning much easier for us as students.
Your support during and after the course has been hugely helpful to me in getting a full time position in the events industry, I find myself constantly referring back to your lectures and notes as reassurance that I'm doing the right thing.
Many thanks and I look forward to seeing you again in the near future.
All the best,
Natasha
Hi Adam,
It is difficult to express how grateful I am to you for everything you have done for us over that last few months.
I am sure it must be quite difficult to organize and co-ordinate everything with all of the students on the program, therefore I wanted to thank you for all your help and support throughout the duration of the course and wanted you to know just how grateful I am for all the invaluable information you have passed on to us.
As a result of all your efforts I truly believe that I am now a more confident individual from both an interviewing as well as organizing events perspective. It has been an extremely enlightening course and I hope it continues to bode you success.
I very much hope that we can keep in touch in the future. If I have any queries I will not hesitate to contact you but I also hope you will not think twice if there is anything I can ever help you with, whether it be doing some work for you or something more personal such as arranging any travel for you, especially if you ever plan to visit Egypt, India or the US.
Once again, thank you so much for all your guidance and for providing me with a strong foundation for my future in Event Management.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
All the best,
Haany

"Do you remember that teacher from school, whose class you didn't mind going to, the one that made learning easy, some how you remembered what he said because he did in such a way that it was really interesting, Adam Proto is that teacher but in the adult world, he makes learning about things like Health and Safety, dare I say fun with his real life experiences usually backed up with photographic evidence. Adam's Lectures are informative and taught in such a way that the information really does sink in and you can recall it when needed."

"Adam has been my lecturer in my Postgraduate Diploma in Events Management, and has a deep understanding of the Events Industry which showed throughout the course. He has a great knowledge of the subjects he teaches, and his clear way of explaining things means that a foreigner like me didn't have to struggle to understand concepts never studied before.
His classes were always full of interesting examples taken from real events, and Adam always made sure that everyone got the important bits repeating things and patiently answering questions before moving on. He also pushed people to be involved in first person, so to be more prepared to real working situations, which I found really useful."

"I challenged anybody to spend 10 minutes in the company of Adam Proto, and not be captivated by his gusto and passion for the event industry. Indeed, his infectious enthusiasm is only matched by his extensive knowledge of the many facets that combine together to create the role of an event manager.
I can say that without any hesitation Adam's passion and knowledge has developed my career in the event industry considerably. Through his lecturing, I have progressed further in a short time then I ever thought possible. I owe him a lot."
